Born in 1986, he studied physics at the University of Würzburg (Germany) and at the University of Texas in Austin (major fields of study: solid-state physics, optics and spintronics) and received his PhD in physics at the 3. Physikalisches Institut of the University of Stuttgart (major fields of study: nuclear magnetic resonance, magnetometry, semiconductor materials).
